Six Reasons Why You Should Keep Your Job #2022insight

 Hey, it is me, Ally.

Without we realize the year 2021 will be going over in about a month or four weeks more. Let’s rethink together. Have we done our resolution that we made in early 2021 or late 2020? I will give you some seconds to think about it before you continue to read this article.

A good company will give you these benefits

Now, I am going to discuss a topic with you about our work-life because some people say there is a company or organization that has a toxic community. Is it? Because I don’t trust it fully. So, I want to gain some opinion from you. Drop yours about it in the comment column below. Let’s discuss it.

Speaking on the side of HR perspective, a good company is a company that makes the employees build their skills better than they have before entering the company. Also, at the moment the employee could proudly mention where they are working, it is a success story for HR Personnel as the result they had to succeed to build the employee branding outside the company.

Hereby, I give you five insights based on my honest opinion about the good reputation of the company. You aren’t allowed to leave the organization if it gives you these things.

Also, Read: Dear Boss, what does your new employee think about the company?

The management gives you what they offer, just like when you got in the early interview phase

A work contract is your agreement with the organization's management. You should make sure that you get some information related to your existence in the organization. A work contract would tell you about your work period, employee status, the job description, and the rule that you must follow, it also tells you about your right after completing your tasks well. Furthermore, your negotiated salary would be there, as well.

The boss knows how to treat the employee well

Most of us would look for the kind-hearted boss, wouldn’t we?

In my opinion, A Kind-hearted Boss is a boss who acts fairly in the organization. A Wise Boss would put them in the right position based on their qualified skill. Of course, it would relate to the job you run daily to achieve the company's goals. A Wise Boss would also consider your next career level if you show good performances in some periods.

They push you to increase your skill more

The Great Boss will ask you for more tasks to push your skill. In another word, you should break your limit to the next level. You won’t only get more paid, you’ll also get more experience. Challenge it, guys!

The HR Department runs its function well

We can say a company that has an independent HR Department, would guarantee the employee branding to the public and make employees say proudly where they work. Click the link above to read some advantages for the company and employees to have an independent HR Department.

You don’t have a community who gossip each other behind

Besides HR matters, anyone doesn't have a right to talk about another employee behind them. It can make some assumptions among the insiders. It is a good thing when you spread the good news. But, what if it comes to the bad news is also spread loud. Just think whether your personal pieces of stuff are being rumored. Oh, I see. It may be called a toxic relationship.

We know we can't get all of these things in the same place. However, if you get all of them in your current workplace, I congratulate you. Keep it well and always work properly.

You don’t see those things in your recent work? Don’t worry, let’s consider it. At least, it gives you three of them. That’s why you still keep your job position.

Regards,

Ally

What Is Typical A Good Company In Job Seeker's Thought? - The Advantages of Having An Independent HR Personnel

How beautiful your workplace is if it has an independent and capable HR personnel, isn’t it?

image from freeimage.com

Referring to what I have posted before about “Dear Bosses, What Employees Thinks About Your Company?”, and I have mentioned some points which relate about employees satisfaction under of workplace environment and HR personnel successful duties. I see both of them have a mutualism.

Based on my friends' work experiences, companies are putting HR positions as one of the vital roles in the organization, just like Finance and Legal Departement. On contrary, some companies haven’t seen that HR position as important as Finance Department. In other words, it can be the third, fourth, fifth, or else the last priority in the organization structure.

My ex-boss in the previous company used to says “how we could run the system smoothly without a good standard of operation, also want to employees being royal to us without fulfilling their needs”
. All of those things, likely to manage employees’ administration stuff, recruit new team, developing the existing team, to support working environment in there. Seems easy to run? I can say, no, it is not. Because becoming HR personnel means we are not only playing with your duties and for our rights but also, you have responded to all of your coworkers' rights in the organization. So, we need high integrity and responsibility to run our duties.

Here, I will share with you some of my insights (I got them from my previous work experiences in comparison with my friends’ who work in the five-starred companies) about five advantages of having an independent HR personnel:

Check these out.

1. Get an update on the government regulation about human resources

In fact, our government represented by the Ministry of Labour is already regulated some statutes which bridge between the business owner and the employees. The statue tells us what employees would and should get after they have their job clearly. Yearly they update the regulation to synchronize with recent issues. Usually, a good HR Crew will automatically update the changes and re-adapt them to the organization.  For example, it is about some public holiday dates which everyone waits for, or minimum range of regional wages, in this case, who will get the advantages if they get a recent update? They are employees and the management.

2. To bridging between Board of Director and the management and the employees

As far we know that the Board Director (BOD) wouldn’t have any time to manage the administration kinds of stuff, they should focus on the organization strategy and investment. What things they have been meeting in a place, then move to another ballroom to attend another meeting with clients, and moving again to BOD space and they have a meeting for the sake of the organization.

And, about the management do’s has nothing related with the employees’ administration pieces of stuff, it is all belong to HR. What they have should be done is work the order of the BOD meeting decision, and delegate it to the supervisor level and the senior staff.

From our point of views based on our friends experience sharing, an employee who works under the boss (CEO, or business owner) get more hard pressure of his work rather than an employee who works in an organization which has a hierarchy structure.

3. To give employees an adequate atmosphere of working

You can keep my words here which would to tell you that employees’ satisfaction would be increase if they have a comfortable working space to run their job. Let’s think what facilities have company given to them will influence employees’ mood of work and work performances. Who will stay in such a messy situation? I wonder none will do. I mean, if you got a problem and you can not say it to your boss or your teammate or anyone from a different department, you could go to the HR department and let them solve it with their structure. Then, the conflict will be solved.

4. To increase employees satisfaction and proudness being the organization member, also, to assist employees to get their best achievement in their work

This’ part of my favorite when I ever worked as HR personnel. Why? Here’s my story.

Leaders from the different divisions will submit their teamwork progress’ to me and I will summarize all of them and calculate them. I get to know what they have done successfully and what difficulties they were facing when they don’t get their target. Or, I keep thinking it is my bad for not providing them such good support, or they have something in their mind which distract their mood to work. I will ask a team who don’t get their target in the last two periods and ask them personally later. I aid them to solve their obstacle and bring back their good work performance.

Even though the bonus that team would get is not for HR personnel, however, it is still our honor and proud to see our team get it. They deserve to get it for all their hard work for a period.

5. To Increase company value and brand in the public

Yeah, I think the points above, especially what I mention in point three and number four are closely related to number five will tell you.

Your organization is updated to the recent ministry rule; then, you have a beautiful role to run; you keep improving your work due to your company provides good things you need; I bet you will tell people outside the organization that it is a good place to work, won’t you? Because I will do it if I have one.

When HR has an employee selection, all of the things above will be one of HR’s advantages. They won’t face any hard moment to announce that they open a vacancy since the qualified job seekers will make a queue to register their resume to the company. Some people still believe a-mouth-to-mouth-opinion is still good strength for HR to get people's attention about the company. If the Marketing department makes a good product branding, then HR will make a good name image for the organization. Furthermore, it starts from the insiders.

*If I am being asked what my dream job is, of course, I am going to answer in this way:

I only want to work in a company which has an independent HR Department. So, I can rely on my carrier on it, I will get a better chance to develop my skill better and better again and as much I can gain.

Dear Bosses, what your new employees think about your company?

Dear Bosses,

I will represent your new employees or some fresh graduates thinking when they enter your company for doing their first experience of work. I understand if these ones can not highly relate to your company since every company has its own standard of operation (SOP), right? But, I hope you got some insight about what your employee wants as they work under your company, likely the facilities they will get, and the pride to work in the organization. I guess this is the reason how important a Human Resources (HR) staff’s duty in the company. They will keep the company's reputation in the public by recruiting good employees and provide the best support system for the employees inside the office building.

Hereby, I do not talk from an HR point of view. But, I used to handle HR administration and recruit one or two new staff. I want to share some insights from new staffs when they enter the door’s company on their first day of work.

Disclaimer: It is all about some fresh-graduated employee thoughts, count in me and my friends when we had a job interview for some companies.

Let’s get started…

1. What will we get from your company?

We know the main reason we applied to the company is that we need a job, a monthly pay so we could survive in our daily life. Also, people said that the first company we enter after graduate from school is the best way to add more value and skills. We do not expect we look for another company or job if the organization makes us improve a lot.

A good leader, an organized structure, a solid teammate, and etc. We expect we get this information from the HR department at the time they call us for the job interview.

2. Are our supervisors care enough about our private life?

I mean, this statement is about a work-life balance. People expect they got a work-life balance. We come to the office building at 8 a.m. and finish our work time at 5 p.m. That means, our-nine-hours, from Monday to Friday we give for the company. Then, let us enjoy the rest of our hours in a day for our personal matters to have some quality time with our beloved family and friends. Thank you.

3. What pride to be a member of your company?

Based on some stories from my friends who work in different companies: from small or start-up companies, middle-level companies, and five-starred companies, I believe it will set our mind to have pride being one of the members in your company. It is like:

“Hello, it is me. I am ____. And work in ____”.

If I still handle HR responsibility, I would be proud of my coworkers say it to their relatives' outside organization proudly. It will be the HR department's key to success to bring a good reputation to the public.

4. Do we have an independent department?

What is an HR Independent? What is it like?

In my deep opinion, HR Departement should be stood by its feet, and ha no interfere with other departments. Why? Because HR personnel would arrange all of employees matters—employee personal data, employee family members data—of course, the salary that employee would get in the period. Those are basic kinds of stuff that another employee from another department can not overhear. If I could illustrate it, the HR Department area should be located at the end of the corridor in the lowest level or highest level of the building so that not every person or employee could reach it. Hehehe.

How will HR personnel work?

As an independent HR personnel work, their duty is to bridge between the executives and the management; and most industry also has HR personnel to bridge the management level and the staffs. It depends on their needs.

In comparison to my friends’ experience work in the companies with an Independent HR Departement and which have not independent HR yet:

- With an Independent HR Department, employees would feel safe about their rights; they could guarantee their life insurance would be saved under the company; and of course, employee trust to the company will be an increase, as well.

- On the other hand, I think I no need to write it in full since it’s kind of contradictive things.

5. How is our Health and Safety Environment?

Oh, I already told you a bit about this part in the last paragraph of the previous number.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) the program would have a close relation to governance regulation, especially in human resources ministry. The state—I mean, the government has the best rule for all workers in the land, including the pieces of stuff about health, safety, and the environment in the area of working. Next, the company—the top management and HR Departement would adjust the regulation into the organization culture. So, employees would get an advantage from it.

Alright, I think it Is I want to share with you all. I hope readers who read this blog post will get some insight into the basic duties of HR staff, and give your respect toward them. Their duties not only about your satisfaction to work in the company/organization, more than that they hold a big responsibility. It is trust.
