You Are Not My Manager, You Are My Leader

 Hello, everyone!

It is a time for us to share with you our opinion. Likely, what we have posted before: What Employee Think About Your Company? and The Advantage of HR Personnel. Of course, you can read them later after you complete reading this post.

We guess what we are going to share with you here just like the experiences that she got when she had a job in the year 2017- a year that had made her grown-up. She had told us, I and Yingshan, about her Ex-Manager in the company. Until now, she keeps thinking that her Ex-Manager was the best leader she ever had. She said The Manager could be an idealistic person, but also she could be a real person. The manager could be someone who delegates her team well and lead the team just like a best friend who supports each other. A best friend? Is it really exist?

 

She said her Manager once was offered a Sales&Marketing Head Division by the CEO. But, she refused it. Because she didn’t have any experience in the marketing industry. Nevertheless, approximately in half and a year later, the CEO offered her again to be a Finance/Accounting and Administration Head Division. Fortunately, she accepted it. She said the position was suitable for her since she had experienced as a Financial System Business Consultant. Because of that, she also had a double job in the company: a Finance/Accounting and Administration Head Division and a Business Consultant. Can you imagine how tiring is it? But, she could negotiate her worktime with the CEO. It worked! Unfortunately, she decided to resign since she wanted to maximalize her potential in the political section. Well, it is her decision.

 

Hereby, some of the examples she shares with us refer to her Ex-Manager’s attitude at the time. Let’s decide if these ones are referred to the Leader or Managers.

 

1. She is telling not asking

Our supervisors usually asking for doing something, both if it is our duties or it is only something that she/she couldn’t handle for a moment. In other words, she would tell us before we do the (additional) task. That’s right! It is what The Ex-Manager of hers did. Perhaps, she thinks about responsibility. She makes an example first, and her team will follow under her control.

 

2. Let’s discuss and no need to get mad

As long they were teaming each other, she claimed her Ex-Manager never scold them. Or else, someone in the company has never been scolded by her. She always is kind to everyone. When something didn’t work right, she only said: “Hey, something is bothering your mood? Is there something you think about? Here, I listen up”.

 

3. Never scold a team in the public

It is still related to number two. When personnel in the team make a mistake, she invites the person to comes to the next room and talk to each other. No, she does not get mad. In the next room, what they do is having chat. That is.

 

4. She has our back to the CEO’s eyes

We work well with her as a teammate and someday a CEO ask they to discuss a job, her Ex-Manager wouldn’t let her team face it by themselves. When she works outside and the CEO is in the office, she asks the team to tell anything they are discussing with her supervisor. The next day, she has a meeting with the CEO and clarifies everything she should do.

 

5. She knows the ideal things, but also she knows how to be realistic

Being idealistic is good. In our opinion, it is the way we know that everything should be put in the right place. But, if something does not work like what we think, as usual, we cannot defend it as what we want to. We should see it from other perspectives. The Ex-Manager had taught her about it. And, change her mindset about idealism.

Speaking truthfully, we do not mean to point someone who relates to this post. We want to show you there is a woman who used to be called by Manager. She isn’t an ordinary person to be a Manager. She is truly a Leader. Of course, she and her teammate felt down when their leader left the company.

 

We hope this post would be your insight to reflect our attitude to each other. Are we already doing something good for other people, or it is make people talk behind us?

Our Cousin Character Personality - The Boss {Based on #JurnalRisa Team)

   Hi, everyone! Welcome! 

Likely what I have posted before that I will post, no, I will tell you some types of our cousins'  personalities. I have watched all of Jurnal Risa's youtube videos, and from that, I  analyzed the character that could be exist in our big family. I have six kinds of personalities that refer to the Jurnal Risa Team's characters. 

Disclaimer: All of the Jurnal Risa’s team personnel’s characteristics who I summarize here, are based on what I see from their Youtube videos. So, it can’t be truly exact within their native personality behind the camera off.

In JurnalRisa, she’s the eldest one. However, everyone who has the personality can be hers. Sometimes a person with this characteristic can be a boss in the gang, but they aren’t a bossy type. If people don’t know them well, they may look arrogant and stubborn. But actually, they truly care about each other.

About Writing and Office Life

Hi, Readers! Now, see what I am going to tell you here. 

I am currently working in the office of the building construction planner and design. Yes, I am an-8 to 5 society. I work from Monday to Friday. Everyday. Every day I run the same chores on repeat. Can you imagine sometimes it could be a boring day? I think some of you may have a similar situation with me, don't you? Just answer it in your heart, dear. :)

What a busy week! Speaking truthfully, I need a friend to talk with after the working hour. I mean not everything I can tell my family about the company, especially my parents. Because I know it probably will make them worry. I decided to keep it by myself. The only friend I have is a diary book. I can throw up all about my feeling throughout the day. I used to write it in a book. Now, the digital era has changed it. I have an electronic diary on my smartphone. Thanks to technology! 

Honestly, I am interested in writing and have a dream to be an author. Now, I'm struggling hard to publish my first novel draft. Wish me luck :). Sometimes, I just assume that my characters on it are real. I keep thinking them on my mind. Talking to myself just like I have some to talk with. 

This kind of my hobby brings me here to show you some experiences I had before. Because I think when I'm telling my experiences I wish some people could learn something from it. Jack Ma said that the best teacher is learning from other people's mistakes. Do better than other people have done. I hope you get something good from this simple blog and thank you for visiting.

I will not make the hobby only like a hobby that I do in my spare time. I need to grow it up as I try to grow my level up in the company. I mean, my interest in writing should go higher as my carrier in the Finance/Administration section. Also, I don't mean to switch income from the previous one. But, if there is a way to do it, I will not deny it :). I cannot close the door for something would come to me in the future.

Rania Padmadewi is a student university who should take a lecture “An Ancient of Hindu-Budha” for the third time. She had D-score twice. Mrs.Ajeng, the lecturer of the course is like has something t Padma. However, in the next semester, the course isn’t lectured by Mrs.Ajeng and will be lectured by her assistant, Haga. Of course, this state makes Padma is happy: she won’t be lectured by Mrs.Ajeng, and being lectured by the handsome man, Haga. Rapidly, Haga becomes the favorite man in his department.

A gold chance comes true for Padma when Mr. Jarwo, the other lecturer, asks her to help him to do the documentation for his team’s proceed excavation. In fact, Haga becomes her partner for her duty. Padma has a reason to meet Haga more often. Besides that, Padma also has something to distract her mind from her bad dream recently.

However, the figure of Haga keep a mystery, and it relates to her bad dream.

Plot:

Padma has a dream—an odd dream. She meets her dad who still in a coma after got a work accident. Her dad gives her some words as the last message from him—or, a will to ask her to become stronger and make her mom and her sister are always safe. After her dad already said his last words, then he leaves the Padma and his family forever. This kind of dream appears often whenever Padma feels down. His dad’s encouragement to her keep replay in her mind and make her misses her dad so much.

Padma gets a similar dream when she got faint on the campus field trip in Prambanan Temple. She got Haga, her lecturer assistant who works together with Padma in a project of excavation documentation, as a knight, but in ancient Javanese custom with his two guards. She saw Haga and his guards on the horses tried to escape from some people who caught them.

She got another insight, just like her previous dream when she got unconscious on the campus field trip. Padma sees the other soul of Haga against with The Black Spirit and he had won it. The Black Spirit is gone away. Padma woke up again. Later, she is sure that it can’t be just a dream. She is pretty sure that Haga against The Black Spirit is real. However, Haga denies it. He keeps worried about Padma’s health since she has just got well at the day. Padma insists provokes him to claim it. Haga denies. But, after all the debate conversation, Haga says it honestly. He remembered that Padma may have “that” strength: to see another soul come out from the body. It is like what Padma told him when she met her dad before passing away. So, Haga believes that the girl will understand his circumstance.

"Mimpi belum tentu tidak masuk akal. Ada kalanya mimpi bisa jadi pesan tersembunyi dari alam untuk kita. (A dream cannot say it doesn't make sense. Some times a dream can be a hidden message from the nature for us.) - Haga 

Listen to Haga’s old story of his life and what she had experienced a few times ago. Padma understands it. Haga Bandawasa’s life story is related to the Javanese ancient story about the build of the Prambanan Temple and the girl who had been cursed become a stone. Now, we know it as the Roro Jonggrang statue. But, Haga has another story about Princess Roro Jonggrang. Also, now Padma knows it. Padma aids Haga to get avenged for his past mistake.

"Cerita rakyat diturunkan berdasarkan tradisi lisan dari generasi ke generasi. Cerita yang diwariskan dengan cara ini bisa jadi benar adanya. Namun, karena dongeng merupakan warisan budaya lisan, maka seiring dengan perjalanan waktu cerita itu diberi bumbu tambahan berupa drama. (A folkfore is to be continued by verbal through the older generation to the another generation. The story which inherited with this method could be real. However, as the time go on, because of a fairytale is a verbal legacy it made the story was added by some dramas.)"

 

Again, when Padma in the process to help Haga, Pada got unconscious because she is frightening. She meets her dad. He gives advice to Padma not to give up in the way. Padma should remember for getting stronger for her mother and her sister. Padma understands it. She wakes up and continues her journey to help Haga get his apology revenge.

Something that never Padma expect comes up. When she helps Haga back to the ancient period, it means she would change Haga’s fate in the future. 

For someone who likes historical things, just like me, it is highly recommended to be read. Mimpi Padma isn’t only about romance stuff, but also the author describes us another fact about Prambanan and Boko Temple in Yogyakarta. She is smart to mix the legend story, the actual explanation, and the romantic things. You can get all of them when you read it.
